Best Year Ever

Image
So many times already this summer we have heard folks say this was their best year ever for fishing since they've been coming to Agimac River Outfitters.  Quite a few of our guests have been coming for close to 30 years.  So that is really saying something.  Pictured above is Brad Steinbach with his 40 plus inches Northern Pike out of Indian Lake.   On the same day he also managed to land this huge brute of a fish.  His lure was almost as big as the fish.  :)  A few weeks ago Leo Bonin reeled in one of the biggest Walleyes he's ever caught.  What a look of joy on his face!!  Way to go Leo. When our guests leave at the end of the week, they sometimes have left over live bait which they either take back home with them or give to me.  I prefer to save leeches since they are easy to keep in my refrigerator all summer long.  I now have an abundant supply of leeches to use for myself and Joanna besides our kids and other friends when they come up later in the summer to stay with us

First Timer

Glen Klingberg and his brother Greg are new to our Agimac River Outfitters guest family and it was such fun getting to know them.  They are very experienced fishermen and even though this was their first time on Indian Lake and all the surrounding lakes, they had no trouble finding all the fish they could possibly want of every variety.  In Glen's own words....  "This was the best resort and fishing trip in his 30 plus years of coming to Canada." Here are some pictures they took of opening fishing week while they were here.

Trout Is What It's About

Memorable Day at Paguchi

Bobby Jones and his three amigos had a memorable day on Paguchi a week ago.  Folks that have fished the lakes around our resort for years have always gone to Paguchi for Lake Trout and Northern Pike fishing.  It looks like that has changed for now.  Someone caught a 35 inch Walleye there and posted it in the Ignace newspaper a few years ago.  Word got out that there were walleye in Paguchi and it became a very busy fishing spot for locals and non residents alike.  Since the boat landing only holds about four boats and trailers, you now see vehicles and trailers parked along both sides of the road beside the entry road to Paguchi.   Bobby and his group knew there were Walleye spots in Paguchi and using their electronics, they endeavored to find them.  They caught a few but then decided to turn off all electronics and ask their Heavenly Father to put them on a good Walleye spot.  They drifted quite a ways and all of a sudden began catching a few.  They stopped and still fished.  That&#
