Agimac Guests Are Finding Some Whoppers

We had a late spring here at camp with temps in the 20's the day we arrived from Grand Marais MN. The late spawn has caused the fishing to be a little slower for this time of year because the water temps are still low.  But that hasn't stopped our fishermen from having a good time and landing some really nice fish.

Take Richard Burch from Wisconsin for instance.  He found a monster Pike during his stay at Agimac River Outfitters.  It's always exciting to feel the yank of a big fish on your line.  This is probably one of his biggest catches ever.  He looks pretty happy.   Way to go Richard!!


Another fisherman in Richard's group, Albert Dernovsek landed a monster Lake Trout the same week. Look at that smile on his face.   This is what makes fishing in Canada so memorable.

  It was Ben Knepper's first time to Canada and this 12 year old became a fishing legend.  He caught this 29 inch Walleye and he also caught the biggest Northern Pike.  Such fun memories he has made.  I think he will be back next year for some more fishing excitement.                        Look at this 21 inch whopper of a Smallmouth bass caught by Josh McDonald.                            Here's another beauty of a fish , a 28 1/2 inch Walleye caught by Josh McDonald.    Roland Roth caught this monster Trout on Indian Lake.  I didn't get the exact weight, but you can see it's a heavy dude.

Some Outstanding Fishing

 The Hansen family comes to our resort twice a year now and have really figured out the best fishing spots on Indian Lake.  Their Dad, Don Hansen got the family coming here years ago and since he has now passed, his children, Gary, Jeff , Lisa and Tom continue to come to Agimac River Outfitters to enjoy the great fishing and serenity they find here. Lisa sent me these pictures she took of their recent visit.  Her brother, Jeff (in the pink shirt)  got his biggest Walleye yet this year, a 29 incher.  She also captured a beautiful rainbow after a storm.  Ken, in the white rainsuit, got a 21 inch Bass.  He is 87 years young and such an energetic, spry man, you would never guess his age.   Then there is a picture of sunrise on Agimac River and a sunset on the river.  The picture of the silver fox is spectacular as well.

Some Recent Whoppers

  It was Scott Fagerlin's first time visit to Agimac River Outfitters.  What a fun surprise to land a 44 inch Northern Pike in the boat!!  He packed it up and took it home to put on his wall.  Great job, Scott. Mark and his wife Jen come to Agimac River Outfitter's twice a year and often fill 3 cabins with family and friends.  They offered to take me out fishing with them this week and look what Mark caught... a 28 inch Walleye.  I believe he said it was his biggest one yet.  It was so fun to watch him wrestle with his bent over pole and try to reel that monster in.  Of course Mr. Walleye went back in the lake to catch another time.
