Indian Lake Trophy


 Joe and Jen Styer stayed with us at Agimac River Outfitters this last week along with 11 other friends.  Joe landed this beautiful 30 inch Walleye on Indian Lake, the place you find the trophies.  Others in their group also caught some very nice fish.  It's always so exciting to pull in one of these big ones.  Nice job Joe!

  It was Scott Fagerlin's first time visit to Agimac River Outfitters.  What a fun surprise to land a 44 inch Northern Pike in the boat!!  He packed it up and took it home to put on his wall.  Great job, Scott. Mark and his wife Jen come to Agimac River Outfitter's twice a year and often fill 3 cabins with family and friends.  They offered to take me out fishing with them this week and look what Mark caught... a 28 inch Walleye.  I believe he said it was his biggest one yet.  It was so fun to watch him wrestle with his bent over pole and try to reel that monster in.  Of course Mr. Walleye went back in the lake to catch another time.

Cjhristmas Merriment With Family

 Oh what fun we had over Christmas with all three of our children and all five of our grandchildren staying with us in our home here in Grand Marais, MN!!  Somehow we were able to find places for everyone to sleep, but it was kinda like a giant slumber party.  There was our oldest daughter Cherish and her husband Patrick, their son Judah 8 and Kaylee 4;  our daughter Joanna and our son Jonathan with his wife Reseth and their son Aaron 14, Titus 12, and Evemarie 8.  Jonathan recently retired from the Air Force and bought a house and land in the country by Ely.  It is so nice to have all our children close by now. So much fun, activity, lots of delicious food, games and laughter.  We have a ping-pong table downstairs, so our son-in-law, Patrick organized a round robin tournament which included everyone ages 8-75.  I figured either he or our son Jonathan would be the grand champion, but amazingly, this little ole Grandma Daryl made her way to the fin...

Some Outstanding Fishing

 The Hansen family comes to our resort twice a year now and have really figured out the best fishing spots on Indian Lake.  Their Dad, Don Hansen got the family coming here years ago and since he has now passed, his children, Gary, Jeff , Lisa and Tom continue to come to Agimac River Outfitters to enjoy the great fishing and serenity they find here. Lisa sent me these pictures she took of their recent visit.  Her brother, Jeff (in the pink shirt)  got his biggest Walleye yet this year, a 29 incher.  She also captured a beautiful rainbow after a storm.  Ken, in the white rainsuit, got a 21 inch Bass.  He is 87 years young and such an energetic, spry man, you would never guess his age.   Then there is a picture of sunrise on Agimac River and a sunset on the river.  The picture of the silver fox is spectacular as well.
